Clinical Camera Terms of Use

This document applies to the iPhone and iPad app. About this website and web demo

Document version: 2026-09-12.2.

1. Purpose

This app helps healthcare professionals organize and view photos and related information. It does not provide diagnoses or treatment recommendations.

Do not use it as a substitute for official clinical records or an electronic health record. Maintain records required for clinical care separately using your facility's designated methods.

2. Requirements for Use

Use the app on a device owned or managed by your facility, with facility approval. You and your facility must confirm the intended purpose, patient explanations and any necessary consent, permission for photography and secondary use, and storage and sharing destinations. Acceptance of these terms does not replace the patient's consent to photography or use of the images.

Limit the patient information you enter or photograph to what is necessary. Manage the device and configure the app lock according to your facility's policies.

3. Storage and Backup

The main features work offline. Patient information is stored on the device and is not automatically sent to the developer or synchronized with the cloud. Device loss or failure, app deletion, insufficient storage, or software problems may cause data loss. Do not use this app as the only place to keep required records.

You create and manage backups. Backups contain patient information, materials, settings, input history, and originals before privacy masks are applied. Keep the encrypted file and passphrase secure and verify that restoration works. Unsaved data is not included. The developer does not hold patient data or passphrases and cannot recover lost data.

4. Export and Sharing

Export of patient information is disabled by default. You are responsible for confirming facility approval and any necessary patient consent before enabling it. Check the selection, contents, and storage or sharing destination every time you export.

Saving to the device's Photos app or sharing externally happens only after you review and perform the action. Enabling export alone does not start automatic saving, sending, or syncing.

Copies saved to Photos may sync to iCloud Photos, depending on the device's settings, and may be accessible to other apps you have authorized. Do not store patient health information in iCloud. Check destination settings according to your facility's policies.

Privacy masks, removal of patient associations, or removal of metadata do not guarantee anonymity. Check images, audio, and text for information that could identify a patient.

The app's lock and deletion actions do not apply to exported data. You and your facility must manage recipients and copies. The developer cannot undo sharing or delete data at a destination.

5. Retention and Ending Use

Decide retention periods and deletion according to applicable law and facility policy. Items moved to Trash remain on the device until permanently deleted. Before deleting all data or deleting the app, verify that required records open in your facility's designated storage. Exported data, original source photos, and backups must be managed and deleted separately.

Deleting a patient also deletes associated records and materials and moves photos and videos to Trash. Check the scope shown in the deletion confirmation. Completing follow-up or changing a sorting category does not automatically delete data.

You can withdraw your acceptance in Settings. If you stop new captures and registrations, you can still view and export saved data. Data is not automatically deleted because you decline the terms.

6. Changes and Contact

Features, supported environments, and terms may change. Important changes will be announced in the app, and acceptance will be requested when necessary.

Contact: medixmatch2025@gmail.com

Do not attach patient information or backups to inquiries. Describe problems without information that could identify a patient.

7. Warranty and Responsibility

The developer strives to maintain proper operation and address problems, but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation or successful saving and restoration in every environment. These terms do not exclude or limit any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
